On the North Sea coast from Duhnen to the Kugelbake

Hello!

After arriving safely at the North Sea in Duhnen yesterday, we started today with a leisurely breakfast 🥐🥪☕️

Afterwards, we took a long walk on the beach 🏖 under a clear blue sky and sunshine ☀️.

We started at the beach in Duhnen and walked to the Kugelbake in Cuxhaven.

The Kugelbake is a well-known navigational beacon and landmark of the city of Cuxhaven.

It is located on the busy shipping lane at the mouth of the Elbe River into the North Sea.

From there, we were able to watch some incredibly large ships entering and leaving the Elbe 🛳⛴️🚢.
...  On the way there, we passed the northernmost point of Lower Saxony 🟥🐎🟥 on the mainland and also saw the beginning and end of the Elbe Cycle Path 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️.

This is one of Germany's best-known and most popular long-distance cycle routes, following the Elbe River from its source to its mouth at approximately 1280 meters.

Our dog Eddie 🐶 also had a fantastic time, sniffing and playing to his heart's content on the beach.
