Baltic Sea Camping holiday park Zierow

Hello everyone, 

from Schwerin we continued north to Baltic Sea Camping holiday park Zierow. 

This campsite is located directly on the Baltic Sea and south of the island of Poel. 

The pitches are very spacious. Electricity and water hookups are just a few meters from the pitches. There is also a drain for greywater disposal near the water hookups. 

Throughout the site, you'll find small islands with outdoor sinks where you can do the dishes. 

The washrooms also have sinks, washing machines, and dryers. The washrooms on site are large, modern, and clean, and can be reached in one to two minutes on foot from the pitch. 

The campsite also has a restaurant, a snack bar, and a small supermarket with a truly wide range of products, leaving little to be desired. You can also pick up fresh rolls there in the morning. 

There are several access points to the beach, which is divided into a swimming area and a natural dog beach. The bathing area has an outdoor shower for rinsing off the salt water. 

The beautiful port city of Wismar can be reached by bike in about half an hour. A visit to the harbor with its old brick warehouses, historic sailing ships, and modern shipyards is a must.  

You can also take several boat trips here. These range from a harbor tour to a several-hour cruise around the island of Poel. 

The old town has many cozy restaurants and beer gardens that invite you to stop for a bite to eat, as well as several department stores and shops. 

We really enjoyed it here. Zierow is definitely worth a visit.

Ferry trip from Esbjerg to Fanø

Good morning everyone, On Thursday we had two firsts. Our first time abroad with a motorhome and our first time on a ferry. We were glad we had our #wise card with us. This allowed us to pay with crowns at the barrier upon entering the ferry terminal. Since the motorhome categories only differentiate between under 6 m and under 12 m, our "Patrick" now belongs to the really big category. The receipt also shows the lane we have to get into. We had virtually no waiting time and were able to board the first ferry that had just entered the harbor. After that, Patrick started his first swimming lesson. Hangar 19 in Schwerin

Hello everyone, we ended up in Schwerin, the state capital of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, at the "Hangar 19" camper van park. We were very lucky, booking quite spontaneously during peak season, to get spots for two camper vans right on the water. For larger camper vans, it is advisable to arrive via Walther-Rathenauer Straße. Google Maps directed us through side streets where there was no way to avoid oncoming traffic. The reception was very friendly, and everything was explained to us. There is a small but clean and modern washroom on the site. The size is appropriate for the site, and there are rarely any waits. There is also a great Italian restaurant. With your parking card, you get a 10% discount there. The jetty is also open to campers. There is a pool ladder there that takes you into Lake Schwerin for a swim. We really enjoyed it here and will definitely come back.

Motorhome parking space at Lauenburg Marina

Hello everyone, We've driven through Lauenburg many times, but today we stopped for the first time on our way back from Denmark. The parking space is right on the Elbe-Lübeck Canal. The plots are divided into two levels, so you have a good view of the canal even from the upper level. The pitches are level but quite small. One awning can't be fully opened. Our vehicle is parked right on the edge of the parking space, and on the other side, we're only about 1.5 meters from the edge. The harbormaster runs a small restaurant called "Skippertreff," where you can eat quite well. Behind the restaurant is the washroom with showers and toilets, which you can enter for 50 cents. Showers cost extra. The nearby B209 road and the bridge are very busy during the week starting at 4 a.m. I'm a light sleeper and woke up from the noise. The parking space is fine for one night, though. Today our trip ends and we head home. Best camper greetings Tabbis Travels
