Ferry trip from Esbjerg to Fanø

Image
Good morning everyone, On Thursday we had two firsts. Our first time abroad with a motorhome and our first time on a ferry. We were glad we had our #wise card with us. This allowed us to pay with crowns at the barrier upon entering the ferry terminal. Since the motorhome categories only differentiate between under 6 m and under 12 m, our "Patrick" now belongs to the really big category. The receipt also shows the lane we have to get into. We had virtually no waiting time and were able to board the first ferry that had just entered the harbor. After that, Patrick started his first swimming lesson. A little nervous and with shaky knees, he mastered it very well. Now we're off to our campsite, and more later. Best camper greetings from Tabbis Travels

Motorhome port at Schachtholm NOK airfield

Image
Hello everyone, We arrived safely at the RV park at Schachtholm NOK Airport. We actually landed here by chance, as all the spaces in Rendsburg were full. However, the site is highly recommended, and the groundskeeper is also very nice and helpful. The site is well-maintained, and the plots are sufficiently large. However, they slope downwards towards the road, so you'll definitely need wheel chocks. Behind the site is a small recreational airfield, where you can observe small planes and helicopters up close. However, there is very little air traffic, so you're hardly bothered by any noise. Across the street from the entrance to the site, there's direct access to the Kiel Canal. From here, you can watch the ships passing through the canal. We really enjoyed our stay here. Best camper greetings, and see you soon, at Tabbis Travels

Wildwood Camping near Clausthal-Zellerfeld in the Upper Harz

Image
Hello everyone, We arrived safely at Wildwood Camp in Clausthal-Zellerfeld. We received a very warm and friendly welcome from a young team. This campsite in the Upper Harz region is a real insider tip, and the name Wildwood Camping says it all. You're surrounded by nature, surrounded by large trees that provide shade. Electricity and water connections are available nearby. The washroom is spacious, modern, and very clean. At the reception, there's a small sun terrace with a pizza oven that can be used free of charge. There's also a small camp shop in the reception building. Here you can get chilled drinks, coffee, ice cream, snacks, and you can also pick up your ordered bread rolls. Barbecuing is permitted on the pitches, as long as the forest fire risk permits. Two barbecue islands are also available. For the romantic evening campfire, there's a fire pit next to the barbecue areas. Right outside the door is the Upper Harz Water Regale, 107 man-made or dammed p...

Arendsee campsite

Image
Welcome to the Arendsee campsite.   We enjoy visiting this campsite every now and then when we're nearby.   The pitches are quite spacious, and the staff is friendly and helpful.   We're parked in a small pine forest, which provides shade and prevents the motorhome from overheating unnecessarily.   There's a small Konsum store on site. This year, you can also order schnitzel, fried potatoes, fries, goulash soup, or even bread rolls for breakfast.    The restaurant, or snack bar, which was previously located directly in the beer garden, is unfortunately closed. Instead, there's now a drinks cart and a snack cart in front of the beer garden where you can order hamburgers, garlic bread, or langoustines.   The campsite has a very centrally located, large, and clean washroom. There's also a washing-up area, as well as washing machines and dryers.   With the campsite card, you can also access the lido, which is located across the street directly on L...
